Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

RedR India ("RedR India", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit redrindia.org (the "Website") or get in touch with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

By using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

1. Scope

This policy covers the Website only. RedR India also operates separate platforms, including our Roster Portal (roster.redrindia.org) and our e-learning platform Redemy (redemy.redrindia.org). Those platforms collect information for registration, applications and course delivery, and are governed by their own privacy notices and terms.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

The Website has no user accounts or sign-up forms. We only receive personal information you choose to send us — for example when you email us, call us, or write to us about the roster, trainings, partnerships, deployments or media enquiries. This may include your name, email address, phone number, organisation, and anything else you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our web server records standard technical information when a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, device and operating system, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time of the request. We use these logs to keep the Website secure, diagnose problems and understand overall load. We do not use them to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and tracking

The Website does not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or behavioural profiling tools. If we introduce analytics in the future, we will update this policy before doing so.

3. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and correspondence.
  • To provide information you request about our trainings, roster, projects and programmes.
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Website.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

4. Third-party services and content

To deliver the Website, some content is loaded from third-party services, and your browser may share technical information (such as your IP address) with them when it does:

  • Content delivery networks that serve scripts used for page visuals (for example, cdnjs and jsDelivr).
  • Embedded media such as videos, maps or documents that appear within some articles and project pages (for example, YouTube).

The Website also links to our social media pages (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube) and to other organisations' websites. These services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal information only where needed, and only with:

  • Service providers who host and maintain the Website or our email, under obligations to keep it confidential.
  • Partner organisations, but only where you have asked us to connect you with them or have otherwise agreed.
  • Government or law enforcement authorities, where required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of RedR India or others.

6. Data retention

We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain reasonable records of our work, or as required by law. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Website. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to erase your information where it is no longer needed.
  • Withdraw any consent you have given.
  • Raise a grievance about how we have handled your information.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

9. Children

The Website is intended for a general and professional audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
